The Other side of MND

As MND does not just affect Andrew but also myself (as his wife and carer), family and all contacts.

It is devastating enough to come to terms with the diagnosis, but also adapting to change physically, mentally and emotionally.

Each day we are faced with different challenges. Seeing the one you love slowly become weaker is heartbreaking.

I decided to live every day being positive, which helps Andrew’s wellbeing.

“Having my time” and quiet place. Time to take time out, recharge and relax. Benefiting not just the physical but the mental aspects also.

Taking my dogs out not just for the exercise but helps to clear my head.

Going to the gym, swim or just relaxing in the steam room and sauna. 

Having a healthy eating balance is also vital to maintaining a healthy body and mind.

Each day we are given the gift of life.
